Positive: The Savanna 68 Hotel really exceeded my expectations. I travel a lot around the world and I usually keep my expectations low so I don’t get disappointed, but this place was such a surprise. The hotel is pretty new (opened in July) so everything is very clean and well kept. Even before we arrived, the staff was answering my questions and helping me plan activities. They recommended booking Boma in advance and gave tips on restaurants too. One of the best things is the free shuttle to and from the airport and also to the Falls. That alone saves you about $60 or more. They also have a small buffet, but the à la carte food was amazing and included in my price. The meals were beautifully presented and started early at 6:30 am. If you need to leave earlier, they will pack something for you if you let them know the day before. The beds were very comfortable, pillows too (I usually bring my own because I find African pillows too high, but these worked for me). The sheets and towels were crisp and clean, water and fruit were refilled daily, and when we arrived we were even greeted with pastries in the room. On the way to dinner you might even spot elephants or rhinos in the street if you’re lucky. That was such a treat. The most important thing for me is safety. The hotel is fenced with electric wire and has 24/7 security. I felt completely safe. They also have a pool and even a pool table if you want to relax. Amazing a/c and nice hot water to shower with great pressure ! 24/7 laundry service if needed they will arrange pick up in hotel. If you’re thinking about booking, do it. Don’t worry. This hotel is as good as it gets. They will make anything happen for you if you ask. They also help arrange activities. I booked with Adventures Zimbabwe not through them, which turned out great as well!
